Evaluation Q 1

C - Form  - The typical features of an opening sequence are the opening credits; a vague introduction to the characters this usually includes stereotypes; we are introduced to the setting and genre of the film and most importantly suspense and tense moments. In our film opening we used opening credits and a very vague introduction to the main characters as they were all in stereotypical costumes and the way we presented them for example when we saw Theo walking to meet Mat we mainly saw his feet and he was looking down or straight ahead trying to be as shady as possible. Although the genre wasn't completely clear because there was not much fast passed editing the music could suggest the genre and make it clear. The music wasn't the main element that created the suspense because of the drop and the EQing on the piano when Theo was walking then at the end when the screen went black for a second then we heard the gun shot.

Sound 19-04-13

So today I Received some audience feedback from so other media students about the music in the opening sequence, and they said that it wasn't tense enough towards the end and the sound didn't build up enough. So to improve it what I did was, I firstly tried writing in some new sounds but that didn't sound very good, so I started changing the EQ in certain places like at the end, so I raised the bass, mid., and treble frequencies and it sounded a lot better and more dominant.  then also I moved the bass drop to right after we hear the drop sound which then sounded a lot more in time
